Just-in-Time is a strategy that strives to improve business performance by reducing waste, inventory, and cycle time, while also increasing productivity. These principles are in high demand because they help companies stay competitive in an ever-changing global marketplace. HOST: Interesting. In your experience, what are some of the biggest challenges professionals face when implementing these strategies? GUEST: One of the main challenges is changing the company culture to embrace continuous improvement. It requires a commitment from all levels of the organization and a willingness to adapt to new processes and ways of thinking. Another challenge is supply chain management, ensuring that materials are delivered just in time to meet production needs without creating bottlenecks or delays. HOST: Those are significant challenges. Now, what about the future of Lean Manufacturing and Just-in-Time practices? Where do you see this area heading? GUEST: I believe we'll continue to see the integration of technology, such as automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, to further optimize processes and drive efficiency.
